S.C. team makes its mark in national 4-H forestry event

Myles Hutton of Easley was sixth highest-scoring individual in the 2017 National 4-H Forestry Invitational held July 30 through Aug. 3 at West Virginia University's Jackson’s Mill State 4-H Camp and Conference Center. Ethan Altman of Saluda and Ashton Hallman of Ward joined Hutton on the South Carolina team, which took ninth place nationally.

Clemson University will celebrate the 100th birthday of alumnus and professor emeritus Col. Ben Skardon Friday, Aug. 11. Skardon reached one century of life July 14.

Famed broadcast journalist Jay Allison will kick off Clemson University’s academic year as the Victor Hurst Convocation keynote speaker at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, in Littlejohn Coliseum.

SRNL funds scholarships for Clemson University STEM students

Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL), through its management and operating company Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, is funding scholarships for up to 18 Clemson University students through its University Scholars Program.
