Ports Authority executive to lead Clemson corporate partnerships office

A seasoned business executive and Clemson alumnus with more than 20 years of experience in helping foster relations and recruit corporations to the state of South Carolina, has been named Clemson University’s associate vice president for the Office of Corporate Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives.

The Greenville Health Authority board (GHA) has awarded Clemson University a total of $2.66 million for diabetes prevention efforts and scholarships to increase diversity in the nurse practitioner workforce.
 
Kristin Walker earns Panhellenic Women in Higher Education Achievement Award

The National Panhellenic Conference Foundation has selected Kristin Walker of Clemson University’s Center for Career and Professional Development for the 2017 Women in Higher Education Achievement Award. The award recognizes outstanding women who have made significant differences in higher education through leadership.
 
Clemson holding forest herbicides and sprayer calibration workshops

For the first time in South Carolina, a workshop to help woodland owners and property managers learn about pesticide safety, herbicide applications and proper sprayer calibration will be offered by the Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service. Except for a relatively small dip during the Great Recession, the forestry industry in South Carolina has been steadily growing – with its overall economic impact now approaching $20 billion annually. The workshop, Forest Herbicides and Sprayer Calibration, is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 15, in The Lake House at Clemson’s Sandhills Research and Education Center.

He is known for his big smile on the anchor desk at CNN Sports. He also is known as the swift moving former NFL player for the Buffalo Bills and Atlanta Falcons. This Friday and Saturday, Coy Wire will be known for both roles as he reports live from Clemson University on CNN/HLN’s "Morning Express with Robin Meade."
